You are our special guest today at Cornerstone Christian Community Church!
We invite you to join with our Church family as we continue to learn, grow, and encourage one another through the Lord Jesus Christ.
When you visit our church, the volunteers at the Connection Center are available to serve you. If you have any questions about Cornerstone or want to know how to get involved, please feel welcome to ask us.
WHO WE ARE
Cornerstone Christian Community Church is a non-denominational congregation of believers in Jesus Christ. We are a church whose government is congregational. We have no outside organizational control, and are governed by elders, appointed from within the local congregation.
Cornerstone Christian Community Church accepts the Holy Bible as God's word, infallible, without error, and every word inspired by God. We adopt no rule of faith and practice but the Bible (2 Tim. 3:16).
We would strive to find the unity of the believers, as that unity existed in the Apostolic Church of the first century. More than 150 years ago a group of dedicated men produced some mottos relative to church unity that are still true today. "Where the Scripture speaks we speak; where the Scriptures are silent, we are silent." "In essentials, unity; in non-essentials, liberty; in all things, love."
† ..in one God, who exists eternally in three persons-Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. He is the creator of all things (Gen. 1:1; John 1:1; Matt. 3:16-17; 2 Cor. 13:14)
† ..in Jesus Christ, God’s only Son who is the savior of mankind. He died for our sins and has risen from the dead (1 Cor. 15:1-8)
† ..in the Holy Spirit who convicts the world of sin, and in salvation indwells and equips the believer for growth and service (John 16:8-9; Acts 2:38; Eph. 1:13-14)
† ..the Bible is the inspired written word of God, it is without error, and it is our final authority in all matters of faith and practice (2 Tim. 3:14-16)
† ..there is salvation in none other than Jesus Christ. It is available to us only by God’s grace through the shed blood of Jesus. It is a free gift to all who will receive Christ as Lord and Savior. We further believe that one must repent of one’s personal sins, confess Christ publicly and be baptized. (Eph. 2:8-9; Col. 2:6; John 3 :16; Rom. 10:9; Acts 2:36-38; Mk. 16:16)
† ..baptism is full immersion in water, and that Jesus left us an example by his own baptism. (Mk. 1:1-10; Matt. 28:19; Rom 6:4)
† ..the church is the bride of Christ on earth, founded on the Day of Pentecost, and that Jesus Christ is both founder and Chief Cornerstone (Acts 2; Eph. 2:20)
† ..in a literal heaven and hell, and death seals the eternal destiny of every person. When Christ returns he will pronounce the eternal fate of both the living and the dead (John 5:28-29; Dan. 12:2; 2 Cor. 4:14)
