Something to be Thankful for - A Hole-In-One! Today, Wednesday, 11/24, Bill Walsh stopped in to the Pro Shop after his round with the Calusa Bay League. He was grinning from ear to ear. He announced that he hit his first hole-in-one. He was on #11, a tough par three, and hit a screamer off the tee with his 7 iron. He hit it over the hill but never saw it land. When he got to the green he only saw two balls. His playing partner, Dick Rushton, looked in the hole and there it was. Ray Kretz was the third member of that group. What a day!
We are on a roll! Another hole in one! On November 15, with a 6 iron on the 150 yard #8, Young Cho put the ball in the hole. Mr. Cho appeared rather casual about his accomplishment - then I found out this was his third hole in one. I still jumped up and down for him! Jay W. Lee, Young C Shin, and Soon Jae Yook witnessed the "hole" thing happen.
With a lake on the left and trees on the right there is only one way to play #8 at ArrowHead - straight. Michael Cotter played it perfect - straight in the hole! A hole in one with a 5 iron on #8. This was Mr. Cotter's first hole in one and he has been playing golf off and on for 50 years. On Saturday, October 30 he was really ON! Come back and visit us again Mr. Cotter.
On Friday, 10/15, John D'Eletto and his wife Karen were visiting from New Jersey and golfed at ArrowHead Golf Club. On the 122 yard 15th hole John hit a hole in one. He used an 8 iron. But, this was no ordinary 8 iron. It was the Wilson 8 iron in the rental set John had rented earlier that morning! Which only goes to prove it is the man holding the club and not the club that makes the hole in one. OR, we have really good rental clubs!

The Raffle Continues in November!The raffle was so much fun and such a success that we are continuingit in November. With every full priced greens fee your name is put in the raffle. Raffle tickets are also available for 1/$5 or 3/$10.

Ladies and gentlemen we have another winner. On 11/18/10 the raffle ticket from Robert Craft was pulled. Mr. Craft won a Taylor Made R9 Fairway Wood. Mr. Craft had just returned home for the Holidays. I assured him I would hold on to his winning club until his return in January.

Would you rather be good or lucky? Well, four golfers who played ArrowHead recently are really happy about this being their lucky day. Donna Sowers is the winner of a Taylor Made 5 Wood, Shaun Robbins won a Cleveland Driver, Michael Barcy won 2 Bridgestone Wedges, and Joe Ford won a Cleveland 52 degree Wedge. Congratulations to all our winners - we appreciate you playing ArrowHead!
