To save lives! Many prescription drug deaths can be attributed to medications obtained from the family medicine cabinet! Prevent the misuse and theft of our drugs by family, friends, and others.

Can I discard medications in the trash?
YES! Dont throw away unwanted drugs in the pill bottle! It is recommended that you: Mix the pills with an inedible or an unpleasant substance like coffee grinds or kitty litter. Place mixture in a plastic bag and seal before discarding in the trash container.

Can medications be flushed without hurting the environment?
Not really! So be cautious and respect our earth! In consideration of our environment, it is never recommended to flush old meds down the toilet and into our water systems. Take the initiative to verify with the appropriate government agencies that any drugs you want to discard via flushing will not contribute to poisoning the earth!

We find it reprehensible that patients are given prescription drugs to treat their pain without determining the underlying disease process. Pain is a symptom; it is not a cause.
We accept most insurances.
We do not see walk-in patients. The majority of our patients are referrals.
We do background checks on all new patients. We drug test our patients in compliance to Florida law.
We do not routinely prescribe narcotics. Our patients are seen on a regular basis and must comply with their treatment plan.
New patients who are on high doses of pain medications are DETOXED.
We ardently support all anti "Pill Mill" legislation and the Prescription Drug Monitoring Program implementation by the State of Florida

In March 2001, Advanced Pain Management & Spine Specialists, became the first medical practice in Southwest Florida devoted only to the care and treatment of patients who suffered from chronic pain. Patients are seen in the south Fort Myers offices or the Cape Coral offices.
