Welcome to Children's Specialists of Florida home page. We are dedicated to providing quality, state-of-the-art care for newborns, children and young adults with heart disorders. We are establishing this site to provide information about pediatric cardiology, for patients, parents, and health care professionals.

We offer state of the art cardiovascular services in all areas of Pediatric Cardiology. We provide full non-invasive services in our office consisting of electrocardiography, stress exercise testing, 24 hour Holter, trans-telephonic event monitoring and recording, two-dimensional, doppler, and color flow echocardiographic studies.
The most common reason why your child would be referred to our office is that a heart murmur has been heard. The word "murmur" is the source of much anxiety. However, it simply means sound. Our job is to determine if this sound or "murmur" is something to be concerned.

Your child's heart evaluation consists of discussing the history of the possible problem and a thorough cardiac physical exam including blood pressure measurement, regardless of age, in both the arms and the legs. An EKG is usually done prior to seeing the doctor.

Following the history and exam, an Echocardiogram or ultrasound exam of the heart may be recommended. We do this test in our office. It is performed personally by the physician and results are immediate.
