Tampa Immigration Attorney Visa - Citizenship Representation
My name is Shawn Mesa and I am a Tampa Immigration Attorney. My immigration law firm is unique because I practice exclusively in the areas of immigration and citizenship law.
I help individuals wishing to work in the United States, families wishing to gain U.S. citizenship, businesses that rely on, or wish to rely on, authorized employees, and those facing deportation or requesting asylum.
If you or an employee is interested in working or living in the United States, you must understand U.S. immigration laws and how to apply for legal status.
I offer big-firm experience, but as a solo Immigration Lawyer in Tampa, Fl., deliver personalized client services at an affordable cost. And I go out-of-my-way to make sure I understand your unique needs. Please take a look below at the wide-range of immigration matters I can help you with.
Business Immigration: The focus of my business immigration practice is working with businesses and foreign workers to get work visas and permanent residence (a green card) for those employees that are interested.
For those in specialty occupations, I'll focus on obtaining an H-1B work visa. For those in other professions, I focus on obtaining an E-1 or E-2 visa. For executives or managers for multi-national corporations, I'll work on an L-1A, and for specialized knowledge employees of those same companies, an L-1B. For those employees from Mexico or Canada, I will work to obtain a TN visa that is specifically available for those companies that qualify under the North American Free Trade Agreement (NAFTA). For those employees that do not meet these special circumstances, I will work to obtain other types of visas that confer temporary work authorization.
My business immigration practice also includes representing clients for green cards through PERM, the labor certification process. My business immigration focus also includes representing employees with extraordinary ability, applicants that qualify for the national interest waiver, and other candidates that might qualify for green cards.
Family Immigration and Citizenship: My family immigration practice concentrates on bringing families together by providing effective representation for permanent residency matters.
I work to obtain green cards based upon marriage to a U.S. citizen and permanent resident, or securing green cards for parents, brothers and sisters, and sons and daughters. I will also work on securing a visa for your fiance by utilizing the K-1 or K-3 visa.
I also focus on United States citizenship and naturalization legal matters for green card holders, as well as other family related immigration matters.
Deportation Defense or Asylum: The Immigration & Nationality Act (INA) is a complicated area of U.S. law that only an experienced immigration attorney can help with.
If you, a family member or employee is facing deportation or planning on requesting asylum, contact me as soon as possible. If needed, I am prepared to litigate your matter before the immigration courts, the BIA (Board of Immigration Appeals), federal court, and circuit courts of appeal.
Employer Compliance: I provide advice and representation which results in practical solutions for businesses that rely on an immigrant workforce or require talent that can only be found overseas.
I also insure my clients are meeting all aspects of employer immigration law and related issues - and more importantly, compliance with new state and federal laws.
