Thrifty Car Sales in Clearwater is launching a full-scale re-branding campaign to announce the local, family-owned dealership is changing colors and changing their name. This home-grown dealer is now New Wave Auto Sales! “We’ve been considering this change for some time, and this Summer’s the perfect time to go local with our name,” said Mike Kastranakes, the founder and owner of what’s been Thrifty Car Sales in Clearwater for over a decade now. Mike’s family has operated dealerships in Tampa Bay for years, and this is where his family makes their home. “We plan to focus more on the things that make our community such a unique place to live and work,” said Mike. The new name and contemporary color scheme are aimed at conveying our laid-back sales philosophy while recognizing our roots as a vibrant sea-side community. More and more car dealers are going the opposite way and being swallowed up by national “big box” Mega-Dealers. New Wave Auto Sales is riding a different wave, in a different direction. Their new motto is “Freedom To Pursue.” It’s an open-ended statement. Clients choose. Freedom to chart your own course and to pick a vehicle that’s a right fit for you and your family has always been fundamental to the American dream. We believe that at New Wave Auto.
