I'd like to share my personal experience on hair loss. My daughter Carli was diagnosed with a disease called "Alopecia Areata." Alopecia Areata is an auto-immune disorder which causes hair loss; more than 2% of the population suffers from this disease. Alopecia Areata is not contagious nor life threatening, but it is life altering and there is little known about the cause of this disease. At the age of ten, my daughter Carli lost 50% of her hair. She chose to wear hats to cover her baldness for 5 years. When she became a teenager, Carli had the additional burden of dealing with all the social issues that any normal teenage girl deals with and this was a very difficult time for Carli. At that point, we started looking for hair replacement options but found that good alternatives were few and far between.
Carli became a "normal" teenager when she received her hair replacement. It was truly remarkable to see the change not just her appearance, but more importantly in her confidence. Through our journey, we've personally raised over $60,000 for the National Alopecia Areata Foundation by hosting 5k runs or walks and more.
I am deeply committed to helping those suffering from hair loss, and continue to keep abreast of the latest Hair Replacement Therapy and Trichology breakthroughs. From the scientific to the cosmetic, I can help you improve your appearance and confidence in a safe, private environment.
