There are heroes who walk among us, never looking for glory or praise, they do not seek recognition for their thoughtful, caring ways. Living lives of deep commitment, providing for those they hold dear, stead fast with a quiet strength, through times of laughter and tears. There are people like that to us, the most selfless heros by far, so we would like to thank you for being the HERO that you are. The relationship to a teacher, a mentor, displays no distance, be it of time or geography. The teacher and his teachings are as close as our own heart. The teacher is beyond near and far, for it is not only the body and the personality one hopes to learn from, but of his essence and spirit as he carries himself though this life. The teacher plants the seeds of knowledge and cultivates that knowledge into wisdom. The teacher is a master gardener, and we are but seedlings that emerge to bear the fruits of a bountiful harvest. To be a leader carries awesome responsibility.

"Martial Arts Timeline for GSM Lasit" There are five men credited as co-creators of Kajukenbo, and it is from their respective arts that Kajukenbo draws its name. SGM Lasit is a direct decendent of Sijo Adriano Emperado teachings.
