Last night I had the profound blessing to encounter a friend of mine at an ecstatic dance party in Ojai, CA. My friend had just returned from a full month in the forest with his friend, a journey into the depth of their beings they set out to encounter any blocks within their hearts that were preventing them from experiencing the fullness and richness of life on all levels. This type of seeking is most profound when we are able to escape the urban landscape and technological buzz of our residential lives and immerse ourselves into the tranquil and connective ambiance of nature in all of her wisdom and healing grace.
He shared many experiences of purging and shedding layers during that month and the ceremony they performed the final day of the journey inward. I was moved to tears at the depth of love and compassion that radiated from his eyes and heart to me for those sacred moments we shared. His final words were clear and simple, "My only purpose here is to love everyone and everything with each fiber of my being and from the depth of my soul."

We think we know.
We go around taking actions and doing what we feel is important.
Doing what we think we need to do to get to where we think we need to go.
And in the end, what is truly important?

Here's a passage from the chapter of my book "Journey to Joyful" about 'Accessing the Bliss Channel" to shine some light on this topic:

In my book, I go on to share inspirational stories about myself and others' experiences accessing the bliss channel. Later in the chapter I offer specific suggestions for exercises you can do to invoke this in your own life experience.
