Your eyes are important.
The American Academy of Ophthalmology recommends healthy individuals 65 and older, have an eye exam every 1-2 years.
Between the ages of 40 & 64, the recommendation is every 2-4 years. Between 20-39 at least one exam is recommended.
If you have diabetes, hypertension or a family history of any eye disease such as glaucoma or macular degeneration, you should be seen more frequently.
Our goal is to provide care in general ophthalmology in a personable, relaxed environment. Many of our dedicated, highly skilled staff have been working here for years, and help us immensely in keeping things running smoothly.
We also believe in educating our patients about their ocular diseases. Patients who understand the risks and benefits of various treatments are more likely to understand, feel involved, understand and follow the game plan.
During a comprehensive eye exam, we diagnose such diseases as cataracts, glaucoma, age related macular degeneration, dry eyes and diabetic retinopathy. We also perform refractions (determining the power of glasses needed to improve vision) as well as contact lens fittings. We have two licensed opticians with greater than 65 years of experience between them in our optical shops.
We look forward to meeting you!
