When we started in the Keys 1993, the economy was strong, people were traveling, Bill Shatner had not started hawking cheap online deals, and there were accommodations available in the Keys to meet the needs of budgets small and large. We thought we could compete with our unique level of personal service, but then people started calling us for guidance and then making their reservations online, figuring we were some kind of free public service rather than a private business needing to be compensated for its time and services. Then came the dot.com crash, 911, the swelling of the housing bubble (wiping out the low and middle range of accommodations) and the subsequent bursting of the housing bubble.
So we have gone offline for a while. We are away trying to relocate Paradise and learn how to best help get you there - without donating our time and efforts to Bill Shatner and the traveling gnome.
In the mean time, if you are planning to travel to the Keys or Las Vegas, drop us an email. We may have some advice to offer - for free.
