The vast crystal clear flats and shallow water banks of the Lower Florida Keys, Key West and the Marquesa's offer the fly and light tackle angler classic knee knocking confrontation with huge Tarpon, trophy sized Bonefish, elusive Permit, streaking Barracuda, Shark, Cobia and a host of other species.
This is sight casting at it's finest, where you pick your target. My boat is a state of the art 17-foot Maverick Mirage HP which enable us to pole after the fish in just about any conditions. I have been running boats in Key West since 1988 and in the Caribbean five years prior to that. I work just as hard for the beginner as I do for the seasoned veterans, with patience, instruction, and most importantly, a good sense of humor.
The fly tackle is provided by Sage, Scott Rods, Loop, Able Reels and 3M Scientific Angler Fly Lines. Spin and bait casting tackle is provided by Shimano, Abu Garcia, Fenwick, Falcon Rods, and Berkley Trilene. Gear is provided by Ex-Officio, Patagonia, Action Optics, and Julbo.
I supply all licenses, tackle, ice and cooler. Anglers need to be responsible for a good pair of polarized sunglasses, (brown or copper lenses), sun screen, hat, white-sole shoes, camera, food and drink. I take two anglers maximum with prices being:
Full Day (8 hours) $600.00.
