At So Big So Bright we provide a supportive environment in which children will acquire a sense of security, a positive self image, and a lifelong love of learning. We focus on the whole child by providing quality education.
Young children learn best through meaningful play experiences. They need a safe, happy, stimulating, and nurturing environment. We seek to provide this, while offering age appropriate learning activities and positive social interactions.
Parent Involvement/Open Door Policy
We believe that a strong school/home connection is vital. We seek to keep parents informed about their children and involved in their school life in the following ways:
• Daily contact during drop off and pick up
At So Big So Bright your child gets age developmentally appropriate curriculum which addresses the social, emotional, cognitive, physical, and language development needs of all our students. We utilize the nationally recognized Creative Curriculum in all our classrooms. The Handwriting Without Tears Curriculum is used for additional support for our VPK program. Our indoor curriculum is organized around learning centers in a hands-on child directed setting. Some of our many centers include housekeeping, dramatic play, blocks, art, library, literacy, math, science, manipulative, and writing. Educational activities and materials change according to the theme we are studying. In addition, a sequential learning instructional plan will be delivered by our team of professionals to prepare each child for academics in kindergarten.
Our Staff Our staff is carefully selected and only includes experienced, professional early childhood teachers who offer a stimulating and nurturing learning environment. Our VPK class is taught by two former elementary teachers who both hold advanced degrees. Our teachers also take continuing education courses, including CPR and First aid, to keep current with what’s new in early childhood education.
