Neon de Lights Custom Commercial Signs is excited to have a new venue to toot our horn and let everyone know about us. In addition to showcasing our completed work we now will be able to let folks know what’s new and up and coming in our blog section. We have added a “comments” section and an opportunity to see how signs differ and shine in other parts of the world on our “Cool Signs Around The World” page.

It was amazing how much work was involved reworking these huge, heavy sign panels from the dismally flawed LED’s into neon installations. There were literally close to a thousand components that needed to be removed, fabricated and added as the changeover progressed. With the largest piece needing a crane to move, seeing that reinstalled without breaking the comparatively fragile neon bulb was a joy in itself. Many of the pieces had to be reshaped with a plasma cutter, other tools were burned up and metal blades seemed to vaporize under the task of modifying the thick stainless steel.. LED’s vs. Neon, Which is better?
LED’s are all the rage these days but in a sign, which is better, that or the traditional neon bulb?
Recently we completed refitting the Beach Walk identification signs on Clearwater Beach, Fl. for the City Of Clearwater. They had commissioned the highly visible routered stainless steel installations to anchor and bracket the several hundred million redevelopment project that completely reinvented this world class tourist destination into a breathtaking venue that no doubt, as it is rediscovered, will become celebrated as one of the best, cleanest and safest in the world.
The original signs were lighted by white and blue LED’s ( Light Emitting Diodes) and almost immediately started
