I am Kay Page Sullivan. Welcome to the Trauma Help website. Trauma Help offers individuals, couples and families professional guidance through difficult life adjustments and transitions. Recovery from crises such as traumatic/critical events, combat veteran trauma, death, or suicide often requires professional therapy services. Victims of crimes, traumas, accidents, disability, illness, injury or other stressful life challenges find help and hope at Trauma Help.
My specialties provide clients with a broad range of individualized treatment options. A list of these specialties is provided in the left border on this website as well as on the Our Services page. I provide empowering, care-focused help for you or someone you care about to return to an optimistic, healthy outlook on life.
Trauma Help family therapy services provide family crisis management, family medical therapy, parenting support before, during and after divorce, and support for adoption and blended/step family challenges. Home visits are offered and helpful. Couples therapy services are solution-focused, improving communication, intimacy, and decision making.
Specialized care is available for elders and other physically challenged clients. I offer home visits for elders and any other client with mobility limitations recovering from trauma or who are physically, emotionally or mentally fragile; and who may need encouragement, validation or medical family therapy with family members. Elder care emphasizes optimum mental health through healthy, active, stress-free aging. I also provide advocacy during illness, critical incidents, trauma or death and dying for clients as well as family therapy.
Services for children and teens are offered in the therapist’s office, the family home, or in the school setting. My services can also include serving as a student/family liaison and advocate in collaboration with the student’s school. Such issues as anxiety/panic, obsessive-compulsive symptoms, traumas, phobias, behavioral challenges, attention difficulties, substance abuse, and adjustment challenges are just a few of my specialties for children and teens.
Trauma Help offers a highly credentialed and experienced victim services provider and advocate for all those who may have suffered trauma as a victim of, or as a witness of any type of disaster, domestic violence or accident. I am internationally credentialed by the Green Cross Academy of Traumatology; and a recognized traumatologist and psychotherapist who has served as the Sarasota County Sheriff’s Victim Services Traumatologist on-call volunteer. As a traumatologist, I am qualified to provide help for victims of crimes and traumas of all types.
As a member of Florida’s Medical Reserve Corps, I am an emergency responder and I serve as the Sarasota County Department of Health South County Medical Clinic volunteer Psychotherapist/Traumatologist. The Florida Attorney General Crime Prevention Training Institute has designated me a Victim Services Practitioner. The National Advocate Credentialing Program has recognized me as a Credentialed Advocate at the Advanced Level with a designation of Comprehensive Victim Intervention Specialist.
