WHY USE OUR FIRM?
For the past five years, my firm has fought hard against a multitude of Lender/Underwriter and Appraiser fraud which ran rampant throughout the country for years. We tried every avenue to report those crimes but the fraud continued. We refused to succumb to the daily Lender or Underwriter pressure. Many new appraisers, however, saw an opportunity to make a quick dollar and complete as many rubber stamp (fraudulent) appraisals as they could complete before the house of cards crumbled. We refused to be one of those appraisal firms. Now that the house of cards has crumbled, the majority of the fraudulent appraisers are out of business. While they are looking for another line of work, MY FIRM CONTINUES TO PROVIDE ACCURATE, HONEST, and SUPPORTABLE APPRAISALS TO THE MORTGAGE INDUSTRY.
Hopefully, those under investigation will be brought to justice soon. I have written Attorney General Andrew Cuomo about changes that need to be made to the appraisal industry. Hopefully, I will have the opportunity to work with his office to replace the confidence that the appraisal industry has lost over the last few years.
