Financial planning has become a major focus and to that end I hold the following certificates: CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER TM Professional, Certified Valuation Analyst, and of course Certified Public Accountant* (*licensed in Florida and Maryland). In addition, I hold the following licenses: a securities license (Series 7); Life, Health, Annuity and Long Term Care Insurance licenses
As an Enrolled Agent & a Certified Public Accountant, I can prepare taxes in any State. I started as a pharmacist (and I still maintain my pharmacist license, although I have not practiced in about 30 years). In the early age of computers, I started a computer company from my drugstore (dealing with nursing homes). In about 1980 the microcomputer came on the scene and I started offering in-house versions of my software nationally. The original software was for medical records, but with the in-house capability the facilities started requesting business software for their accounting needs. This is what led me into accounting and into becoming a Certified Public Accountant.
Along the way I created a forms company, bought a printing company, created a package mailing company and sold all of them. I also have had a major interest in a yacht dealership and other small businesses. I still own an interest in Edison Prescription Shoppe, L. Cramer & Associates, Inc. (a residential property management company), and numerous residential and professional office building holding companies, locally.
With all of this background in business, I decided to limit my outside practice area to the consultation required of a C. P. A. in the main lines of business and individual tax preparation and consulting, financial planning, estate and gift tax preparation and planning, litigation services and representation before the Internal Revenue Service for clients having problems with the I. R. S.
I have been a member of the following local boards: City of Fort Myers Investment Advisory Board, Gulf Coast Retirement Village Board, Calusa Nature Center & Planetarium Board, Visiting Nurses Association Board and the Downtown Fort Myers Rotary Board.
