My name is Cyndie Ford Purdy. I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor in Florida and a Licensed Professional Counselor in Alaska. I am a National Certified Counselor (NCC) through the National Board for Certified Counselors anda Master Addictions Counselor (MAC) through NAADAC,The Association for Addiction Professionals.I am certified as a Substance Abuse Professional (SAP) for the Department of Transportation through NAADAC.I amalso certifiedas aU.S. Nuclear RegulatoryCommissionSubstance Abuse Expert (SAE). I am a state-approved clinical supervisor in Florida and Alaska.

My areas of special interest include personal growth and development, relationship issues, adjustment disorders, depression, stress and anxiety, grief and loss, andcontinuing care (after care) and relapse prevention from addiction disorders.

I opened my counseling practice in Inverness, Florida on July 17, 2007 at 470 Pleasant Grove Road. I had to takeunexpected personal leavein July 2010.I am very happythat I am going to reopen my practice inDecember 2010 (January 2011 at the very latest)at the same location. Mytelephonenumber will remain the same and should be in operationas of November 1, 2010.

I am a member of, and in good standing with, the American Counseling Association, The American Mental Health Counselors Association,the National Board for Certified Counselors, and NAADAC, The Association for Addiction Professionals.
