While the flags flown by Rozier's have changed over its six decades of existence, its primary business philosophy has not. Rozier's Oil Co. has built its business on selling only quality lubricants and giving the highest level of customer service. With this experience and the excellent support of Mobil and Fina, they provide engineering and technical services for industry -- fitting the right product to the customer's need and getting it there on time.
Clyde M. Rozier founded Rozier's Oil Company in 1934. The business began in Palatka, Florida, as a full-service gas station. During World War II, the company became a leading supplier of home heating oil, delivering to all parts of Putnam County. Rozier's Oil Co. has continued to expand and today is a major distributor of lubricants statewide.
In September 1959, W. W. Roberts became an employee of Rozier's Oil Co., and in July 1972, acquired the company. Under this second generation leadership, Rozier's Oil Co. continued to grow and expand heavily as a commercial lubricants distributor. While the distribution of diesel fuel and gasoline remains a significant part of the company's business in its original trade area, deliveries of lubricants are made as far south as Sarasota, as far west as Panama City and new routes are being added into South Georgia. Customers include some of the most recognized names in heavy equipment, trucking, manufacturing, industrial and the pulp and paper industry.
