Meet Dr. Markgraf

Hi, Im Mike Markgraf. I was born and raised in several small towns in Wisconsin. I graduated from Oostburg High School (a really small town), and got my Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee. I graduated in 1984 from Marquette Universitys School of Dentistry located in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. I practiced for 15 years in a suburb of Milwaukee called Grafton in my own practice before I moved to Florida.
While in Wisconsin, I taught at my alma mater for three years part time. I was on the clinic floor as an associate professor in the department of clinical science. What that meant was I helped Junior and Senior dental students in putting together the treatment planning of cases they were responsible for treating. I also reviewed the actual performance of their duties as they worked on their patients.
I moved to Punta Gorda in 1999 for the climate, the year around boating, and the small town atmosphere I found reassuring. It seemed then, as it does now, that Punta Gorda has a respect for the past as it goes into the future after Hurricane Charley rearranged our town. I built a historic-looking building I felt would reflect those values. And Punta Gorda has embraced our family warmly.
