Fishing Report: Its hunting season again along the Forgotten Coast--hunting for big redfish and seatrout in the clear, shallow water of flats, says Capt. Dave Lear (850-320-2001; captaindavelear.com). The best ammunition to use is DOA CAL 5.5 jerk baits in new penny, DOA 1/4-ounce holographic shrimp and Hall em In wooden plugs like the Ripper and Rat Dog in mullet patterns. The fish are very aggressive, especially on the last of the falling or the first half of the incoming tides. Flounder, jack crevalle, bluefish and ladyfish are a frequent by-catch. The water clarity is fairly clear, with some patches of floating grass. Water temperatures are in the mid-70s to start, rising to 81 by afternoon.
