We can vacuum form Acrylic sign faces up to 8'4" x 16'2" in one piece. Our vacuum formed plastic or acrylic pan sign faces are based on standard one foot increment sizes with an extra 2" Example 4' x 8' or 4'2" x 8'2" sign face would be the same price. All other sizes are up to the next back board, Example a 42" x 8' sign face would be run on a 50" x 8'2" back board.

Be educated in plastic. "acrylic" their are many types of plastics on the market and they all have a purpose. Some do not make good sign faces. They also have different characteristics and are meant to be used only in a certain application. Some companies may buy the cheapest plastic or best lower price plastic they can find. Others may sell you what you ask for a give something different, If you receive an up grade then that may be ok, But if you don't then that may be bad business practices. We believe that when you buy anything you should get what you are paying for and that is that no exceptions.
If your employees are afraid to handle a plastic sign face then their is a problem, Its ok to be careful during an install, but not have to worry about it. We manhandle the plastic here and we don't worry about it breaking. If a sign face breaks easy in the shop we got bad plastic. And we know it wont make a good sign face out in a storm. We are striving to be known as number one for vacuum formed pan and / or embossed sign faces.

DURAPLEX Made by Plaskolite, Inc. is offered in four grades " sg sg-05 sg-75 & sg10" sg05 is a high impact modified acrylic having good stiffness when vacuum formed in making sign faces. When we talk about stiffness here we mean the ability to stand up with out bending over or sagging over. When embossing a plastic sign faces the embossing makes most any sign face more ridged. And we are also in the process of meeting some of the new sign requirements in south Florida. Some localities will or are requiring plastic sign faces to with stand 140 mph wind load. We are working on figuring out what size sign faces to what size plastic. This will be ok on many sign face sizes, But it will require proper installation such as using a hanging rail or bar top and bottom of sign faces. It has been rule here that any sign cabinet holding a sign face of 4 feet by 8 feet or larger to install a top hanging bar.
