Firm founder Arthur D. Lake has extensive experience in business, prior to establishing his law practice in 2006. He earned his Juris Doctor degree in 2000 from the University of Miami, Coral Gables, has an MBA, and is a trained economist. During his 20 years in business, he worked in central banking, bauxite mining, alumina manufacturing, mortgage and offshore banking, and the electric utility industries. As an MBA and a lawyer, Arthur Lake has experience in international finance, contracts, strategic business planning, power generation, electric utility business, and corporate financial analysis. He has also provided consulting services to the boards of banks and trained managers and directors of large institutions in economic analysis, management systems, and corporate reorganizations. He has been directly involved in negotiating and concluding contracts for the purchase and sale of large assets, including a real estate purchase involving an entire island and the purchase of an 800 MW coal plant.
Attorney Lake's business and legal experience is an asset to clients in each of the firm's practice areas, including family law. He allows his clients to focus on dealing with their emotional state and their family, as he focuses on the legal and financial aspects of the divorce.
