Restored to perfection and centrally located in the heart of Charleston, SC's fascinating historic district, The Elliott House Inn's 24 rooms decorated in Eighteenth Century reproductions, offer historic period charm and contemporary comforts all within walking distance to the famous market area, art galleries, boutique and antique shopping and world renowned dining.
Built as a private residence in 1861, this remarkably preserved architectural treasure has weathered hurricanes, earthquakes, at least one tornado and the Civil War. When and where restoration has been necessary, painstaking care has been taken to ensure architectural and historical accuracy.
In this vein, the time has come for the Elliott House Inn to undergo additional structural restoration. The decision was made to temporarily close the Inn for the next few months while this restoration is completed. The Elliott House Inn appreciates your patronage and we urge you to consider staying with us after we re-open later in 2010.
