On Sunday, November 7 we had a stitch-in where we had over 30 people knitting sweaters for bears. Everyone got to "adopt" one or more bears! This is the first stitch-in where all the bears got "adopted" the day of the stitch-in!!

Everyone had loads of fun...sharing stories, getting to know one another and also it was a great way of networking with one another...sharing where they worked, etc.

Refreshments were served and by the time we knew it, the day was over!!

As time goes on and sweaters are returned, we will post the pictures of our "adoptees' parents along with their bears and sweaters!!

A big THANK YOU goes out to everyone who attended and made our community service project a hit.

When all sweaters are returned, the outfitted bears will be then donated to our local State Farm Insurance branch here in the shopping center. They will then hand them over to TOYS FOR TOTS!!

Our shop, which just turned 30 years old is a full service needlework shop that carries knitting, crocheting and needlepoint and classes are offered, plus we have daily stitch-ins and a nightly stitch-in on Thursdays. The shop offers sweater finishing, as well as finishing of needlepoint. We frame needlepoint, cross stitch or anything else that you can think of --- wedding, graduation pix, etc. So if you live in South Florida OR you're just visiting our wonderful state, come on in! You won't be disappointed!!!
