Fur storage is a must if you want to keep your furs from drying out. Air exchange regulated and temperatures are kept at 55 degrees fahrenheit with a constant humidity level of 45%, which home storage is unable to duplicate.
If a fur is not stored properly, the hair appears fine, but the natural oils of the leather will begin to dry out. If the skins dry out they will begin to tear and nothing can be done to restore them.
