Our music programs are just getting started for the year and we'd love to have you and your family join us. We've got choirs, instrumental groups, a drama troupe, and a dramatic interpretation group. We've got something for every age and stage!

On Sundays, our children's choirs practice at 6pm. Wee Praise in room 106 is for ages 2-3. Music Makers in room 208 is for ages 4-5 and Jesus' Musical Kids (JMK)in room 209 is for elementary (grades 1-5). Our youth choir, Vocal Explosion, meets in room 209 at 4:45pm and our Worship Choir meets in the Sanctuary at 7:15pm.

On Wednesdays, Our Classic Chorale (for the young at heart!) 6:10pm beginning on August 25th. Wednesday will also be the meeting day for our hand bell group, The King's Ringers, our Worship Band, and Free Motion, our dramatic interpretation group. Sunday, Sept. 12 - Sunday, Oct.. 24
Join us for a series of lessons from the Max Lucado book Fearless. Sunday School classes from Middle School through Adults will be studying for six weeks on how to become faith-filled and fearless Christians. Lesson guides may be purchased for $6 from the church office and in the foyer on Sundays. The hardback book can be found at local bible bookstores or online. Wednesday, September 15th, 5:45pm Worship Center
Do you enjoy acting? Do you like to have fun? Have we got a group for you! The Acting Up drama troupe presents Christian skits in our worship services. If you are interested in joining please come to the signup in the worship center on September 15th at 5:45pm. You should be prepared to present a short monologue; scripts will be available in the foyer on Sunday, August 29th.

Saturday, September 18th, 10am-2pm
Meet us at Shelter 1 for some great family fun and fellowship. The church will provide hot dogs, buns, condiments, and soft drinks. Please bring side dishes and desserts to share. We ask that those who plan to wear swimsuits comply with our church outing modesty rules - one piece suits or two piece with a shirt for ladies and girls, and modest trunks for gentlemen and boys.

All those in middle and high school are invited to come and join in a worship and fellowship experience designed for youth. It's the place where friends become family. Questions? Contact Wesley Miller wesley@eccjax.com.

Power Challengers Before and After School Care
Looking for a quality before or after school program? Power Challengers is your solution. We pick up and drop off at the following elementary schools: Englewood, Love Grove, Hogan-Spring Glen, Greenfield, University Christian, and Christian Heritage Academy. The after school program provides snacks, team sports, computer activities, crafts, homework assistance, movies on Fridays, games and much more. October 4th-5th, 2008
Photos from our 50th anniversary activities have been uploaded to two photo gallery sites so that you can view a slide show of them. You can also order copies of the photos or CD's from either site - just pick the one that's more convenient for you. Walmart's photo center can deliver the photos to your home or the Walmart of your choice. The Kodak Gallery has home delivery, too, and also lets you print your photos at Target, CVS, and other Kodak network locations.

Once you get to either site, look for a link that says "view slide show" and click it.

50th Anniversary Cookbooks Available
The new church cookbooks are in! If you haven't picked up your prepaid order please stop by the church office or see Karen Lee to claim your books. If you didn't order a book or would like more, there are some extras available.
