Collect for Thanksgiving
Almighty and gracious Father, we give you thanks for the fruits of the earth in their season and for the labors of those who harvest them. Make us, we pray, faithful stewards of your great bounty, for the provision of our necessities and the relief of all who are in need, to the glory of your Name; through Jesus Christ our Lord, who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God, now and for ever. Amen. (BCP, Collects: Holy Days, p. 246)

New Classes Started October 27
Calling the Next Generation to Discipleship
Here’s a highly relevant six-week class for anyone who hopes to lead others into lives of discipleship: parents raising children (and grandchildren); students mentoring friends; young adults guiding co-workers The class is taught by Marcia Lebhar, the wife of our bishop of the Gulf Atlantic Diocese, The Right Reverend Neil Lebhar.
This six-week class is based on the best-selling book by J.I Packer. It focuses on how we come to know God and the nature and character of the God revealed in Scripture. It will be taught by Father Michael Petty. The book Knowing God is available in the Book Cellar; if you hurry, you can get a copy signed by Dr. Packer!
