Many of our retail customers have told us that they thought Mobile Lumber was just for contractors. At any given moment you might find us delivering a truckload of lumber to a new home being built, shipping & installing windows and doors at another jobsite down the street, putting the finishing touches on a Mobile Lumber installed kitchen & bath cabinetry project across town, or unloading roof and floor trusses at another site. All the while, were also mixing paint, making keys and assisting other customers like you in our retail stores.
We welcome you to stop by any of our retail locations. Let us help you with your next project!
Mobile Lumber and Veteran's Day Parade 2010
Jim Henderson, Sr. and Mobile Lumber were proud to participate in the 2010 Mobile Veteran's Day Parade on Nov. 11.
Mr. Henderson got the special privelege of driving the Mobile Bay Area Veteran's Day Commission's 2010
Patriot of the Year, Ann-Margaret.
Ann-Margaret, who rose to stardom in the 1960's when she starred in Bye Bye Birdie and Viva Las Vegas, signed autographs for vets and fans before the parade began in downtown Mobile. Col. Patrick Downing said that she was chosen for this award "because of her continuous support of our veterans and particularly our Vietman veterans" and that "she continues to support veterans today."
It is interesting to note that, according to her website, she is the first non-politcal figure and first woman who did not serve in the military to be honored with the award. A luncheon was held for her immediately following the parade at Fort Whiting's armory.
From everyone here at Mobile Lumber,
thank you to those who have served, are serving and will serve to protect our freedom.
We appreciate you!
