Bobby Liddell, director of Memphis School of Preaching
will be giving a presentation about the school during the Bible Class hour
and preaching that same morning.
When Paul was closing his time with the church at Ephesus, he told the elders, "So now, brethren, I commend you to God and to the word of His grace, which is able to build you up and give you an inheritance among all those who are sanctified" (Acts 20:32). He told Timothy, "All Scripture is given by inspiration of God..." (II Timothy 3:16). When you visit our congregation you will find that we worship and work in accordance with the word of God.
Our worship is patterned after that which is found in the pages of the New Testament:
Partaking of the Lord's Supper - Acts 20:7.
Free-will giving - II Corinthians 8:12.
Singing praise to God with our lips, not instruments - Ephesians 5:19; Hebrews 13:15.
Claiming to be faithful followers of God and then adding things to God's plan of worship is simply wrong. Many today have, "...transgressed the commandment of God because of the traditions of men" (Matthew 15:3). We strive to do the will of the Father who is in heaven (Matthew 7:21).
When you visit with us you can expect a warm welcome and worship that focuses on God and His word, not man and his wants. Jesus said, "You are my friends if you do whatever I command you" (John 15:14).
We hope that you will come and visit with us soon!
