Over 2,200 people showed up wearing pink Sunday to support Making Strides Breast Cancer Walk. CheerCo, a sponsor, lead the walk with cheers and chants of encouragement as well as passed out waters throughout the 5K walk. CheerCo also performed on stage Sunday showing off their talents in support of this great event. Carol Dover, a lobbyist from Tallahassee and mother of Ashley Gholston-the owner of CheerCo-spoke at the event Sunday. Dover was diagnosed with a rare form of cancer called lobular carcinoma. Carol said she is lucky to have been diagnosed in 2003, because of the nature of the cancer."It is what Mary Brogan died from," said Dover, "It is more difficult to detect, because the tumors are smaller." "Women need to not fear the 'm' word, and know that breast cancer is not the end of the world." Money donated at the event goes to the American Cancer Society, who fights the disease by continuing to research a cure, educate the public, advocate for a cure and provide excellent patient care. The walk is one of 125 MSABC events across the United States.
Coach Ashley & her staff believe in supporting many community events and leading by example for their cheerleaders. CheerCo brought out over 80 girls and over 200 parents to perform and support this great cause! Thanks to the CheerCo Family for believing in this cause for a CURE!!!

CHEERCO ALL-STARS BRINGS HOME 14 FIRST PLACE TROPHIES & 2 SPORTSMANSHIP AWARDS IN THE 2009-2010 SEASON!!!!

Five competitive teams from CheerCo took the floor Feb 21,2010 in Lakeland, FL at Cheerpower's Open Championship; bringing home three 1st place trophies and two 2nd place trophies was just the beginning of all the achievements. The Mini (ages 5-8) & Youth (ages 7-11) team's got 2nd place and juniors (ages 8-14), seniors (ages 12-18) & senior Co-Ed (ages 12-18) brought home the gold with 1st place! The Junior team, CheerCo's newest squad designed for girls who have never cheered, also was awarded the Highest Score in all level 1. CheerCo was recognized as the furthest traveling gym bringing the most teams, achieved a Parent Participation Plaque and a Best Choreography Award!

Our Senior Co-Ed earned a bid to International All-Levels in Atlantic City, NJ and came in 2nd place for our region and 7th place overall in the country!!! CONGRATS SENIORS!!

CheerCo's teams have all placed within the top 5 in the state of Florida as well as be recognized as the "MOST SPORTSMANLIKE GYM" at the American Championship State competition in Daytona this past January(nominated by AC Competition Staff and other gyms). The owner and coaches really stress the importance of sportmanship along with success!

Cheer Company All-stars is a competitive and recreational cheerleading gym here in Tallahassee, FL. CheerCo is a faith based facility where Cheerleading, Tumbling & Dance is the physical focus, but friendship, growth and mentorship is our reason.
CheerCo opened their doors May 1, 2007, and has truly been blessed since. The owner, Coach Ashley Dover Gholston, a local cheerleader from North Florida Christian School & University of Central Florida has been a middle/high school competitive and professional cheerleader for over 18 years. Coach Ashley is the former Head Coach of International Gold All-star Gemz (2003-2007) here in Tallahassee. She was the driving force behind IGG's All-Star program since taking over as the Head Coach in 2003, bringing home many National Titles and accomplishments.
After being hired as a staff member for the Fellowship of Christian Cheerleaders (FCC) at age 17, Ashley found that traveling all around the world teaching and coaching cheerleading was fulfilling; but leading cheerleaders to Christ and using her talents to help young girls grow became her TRUE passion. Her lifelong dream was to build a facility where she could mentor to kids and use her cheerleading skills and professional training to better the community....that dream came true in 2007 when she started Cheer Company All-Stars located on Capital Circle NE in Tallahassee, FL.

CheerCo strives to instill moral and spiritual values in all of their girls. The gym views cheerleading as a tool to build teamwork, integrity, perseverance, determination, and flexibility. "We believe that cheerleading mirrors many life lessons" says owner and Head Coach Ashley Gholston and she and her staff work very hard to help the girls become prepared for whatever lies ahead and mold them into moralized adults holding the girls accountable to the motto "Becoming Cheerleaders, Building Character."

With 6 competitive cheer teams, a special needs team, three performance teams and multiple tumbling classes, Ashley considers her first 4 years a true success! CheerCo is home to over 200 students ranging in ages from 3-adults; and is also home to many local middle/high schools and colleges in Tallahassee who look to her facility and staff for advanced training. With multiple State and National titles claimed already, Ashley and her staff are looking forward to an even better year ahead.

Now that Coach Ashley and her very supportive husband, Brock, have taken on this endeavor, they look forward to the expansion of their passion as well as their outreach to the community.
Look for CheerCo this fall as we support our community by cheering at the Breast Cancer walk in Southwood, Sunday, Oct 24th!!
Coach Ashley and her staff are AACCA safety certified, Level credentialed in all levels and all areas of competitive cheer, and are also judge certified through the United States AllStar Federation (USASF). Gholston and her gym are active members of the United States All-Star Federation and attend yearly regional meetings to keep up their credentials and safety certifications.
