In August 2008, Tropical Storm Fay inundated the City of Port St. Lucie with approximately 14 inches of rainfall within a 48-hour period. This rainfall event exceeded the rainfall amount utilized to set Finish Floor Elevations within the City and therefore several homes and businesses flooded.

CAPTEC is a proud corporate contributor to many local agencies including The American Cancer Society, FL Association of State Troopers, Martin County Fire Fighters. We recognize and embrace our civic responsibility to the Treasure Coast community. We sponsor many local events, donating time and funds whenever possible. In addition, CAPTEC's Principal and Project Managers serve on local advisory, review, planning and development Boards.

CAPTEC has been and continues to be actively involved with funding options for projects, whether grants, such as the St. Lucie River Issues Team -local river cleanup river funds / FDEP 319 grants / Florida Forever / CDBG / NRCS / FDOT grants and loans, State Revolving Funds, and funding utilizing Special Assessment concepts (such as developing Special Assessment and Community Development Districts(SAD/CDD) bond projects).
