U.S. Department of Housing & Urban Development Announces Funding Awards for Boley Centers, Inc.

Boley Centers Receives Pathways Out Of Poverty Grant

Boley Centers has been awarded $1.9 million in HUD 811 funding for the Robert Pitts Villas, named after Longtime Board Member Robert Pitts. These 16 units of affordable housing will be certified green and will include Xeriscaping, dual flush toilets, tankless water heaters, metal rooking and stained concrete flooring. Construction is scheduled to begin Spring, 2010.

VA Award for Covert Apartments
The Department of Veteran's Affairs has awarded Boley Centers with funding to renovate Covert Apartments and provide 13 transitional beds for Veteran's who are homeless. In addition to the renovation, the grant will provide operational funding.

Homeless Housing Assistance Grant
Boley Centers has received a $480,000 grant from the State of Florida's Department of Homeless Housing Assistance for the development of Broadwater Place Apartments. Construction is forecast for spring, 2010 and will provide 12 one bedroom units of permanent supported housing for individuals who have mental illnesses and are chronically homeless.

Boley Centers' eligible programs have been accredited by the Commission of Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities (CARF) since 1989.
