The Greek Word Eucharist Means Thanksgiving
The Celebration of Eucharist is Our Act of "Thanksgiving".
Thursday, November 25, Thanksgiving Day, we ask our parishioners to bring a food item
they will share at their Thanksgiving Dinner to be blessed during the 9:00 a.m. Mass as a
way of connecting our Liturgical Thanksgiving to their family's Thanksgiving celebration.
Also they are requested to bring along a donation for our LifeLine Ministry.
November is the month in which we especially remember our
deceased relatives, friends and benefactors.
The most important thing we can do for our deceased loved ones
is to pray for them and offer Mass on their behalf. The Mass is
the most powerful and the most important Catholic prayer
because Christ is present in the Holy Eucharist.
The Holy Eucharist is the center f our lives.
