The commercial aviation industry will require 466,650 pilots and 596,500 maintenance personnel over the next 20 years to accommodate the strong demand for new and replacement aircraft, according to a crew assessment forecast from Boeing (NYSE: BA). Airlines will need an average of 23,300 new pilots and 30,000 new maintenance personnel per year from 2010 to 2029. The crew assessment forecast is based on Boeing's Current Market Outlook, widely regarded as the most comprehensive and respected analysis of the commercial aviation market. "When you add up all the numbers, you quickly understand

the issues facing this industry," said Roei Ganzarski, chief customer officer, Boeing Training & Flight Services. "Our challenge is adapting our training to engage the future generation of people who will fly and maintain the more than 30,000 airplanes that will be delivered by 2029." Full Article

About National Aviation Academy
National Aviation Academy is a nationally recognized Aviation Maintenance training school, headquarted in Clearwater, Florida. Our programs prepare students for certification by the Federal Aviation Administration. The FAA Airframe and Powerplant (A & P) Certification is required to perform maintenance and repairs on aircraft from small Cessna Props, to the largest jet airplanes. In simple terms, we are an airplane mechanic school, although we typically stick with the aviation mechanic school or aviation maintenance technician school terminology.

National Aviation Academy is also accredited by the National Center for Aircraft Technician Training (NCATT) for their Avionics Program. As a leader in the aviation maintenance industry, NAA was the 1st NCATT Accredited Training Facility in the World. The vision of the NCATT is to promote professionalism of aircraft maintenance by; (1) Establishing and maintaining industry identified and endorsed technician education and skill standards; (2) Establishing and maintaining technician certifications; (3) Developing NCATT accreditation process for related programs; (4) Promoting and providing linkages to educational and training resources; and (5) Fostering and maintaining interest in aviation careers.

We are also proud to offer financial aid to those that qualify. Some of the financial aid opportunities include but are not limited to: Federal Pell Grants, Federal Stafford Loans, Alternative Student Loans, Federal Parent Loans for Undergraduate Students (PLUS), and we are also approved for Veteran's Training.

What is the average salary of an aviation mechanic?
Those are fairly common question that people ask and we can tell you a lot from what the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics has compiled. Out of all of the different mechanic fields listed below you will see that Aviation Mechanics and Avionics Technicians are among the top.

The chart shows the median annual income information of mechanic professions including Aircraft Mechanics and Service Technicians, Avionics Technicians, Mobile Heavy Equipment Mechanics (except engines), Heating, Air Conditioning, and Refrigeration Mechanics and Installers, Bus and Truck Mechanics and Diesel Engine Specialists, Automotive Body and Related Repairers, Automotive Service Technicians and Mechanics, Motorboat/Marine Mechanics, Home Appliance Repairers, Maintenance and Repair Workers (General), Farm Equipment Mechanics, Motorcycle Mechanics, and Outdoor Power Equipment and Other Small Engine Mechanics.

St. Petersburg College (SPC) and National Aviation Academy (NAA) are pleased to announce a new chapter in their already successful Public/Private Partnership. The Corporate Training Program from SPC and NAA designed a new accelerated opportunity for students to earn their NAA credentials, their Federal Aviation Administration certifications and their SPC Associate in Science degree in only 21 months.

Students have been articulating from NAAs Aviation Maintenance Technology Program into the Aviation Maintenance Management Technology Associate in Science degree program at SPC. The partnership between SPC and National Aviation Academy is now more than five years old, and has been very successful in supplying highly trained and qualified aviation maintenance graduates to the aviation industry, said Carl M. Kuttler, SPCs president. This program redesign will speed up the process significantly, benefitting the industry as well as the graduates who are eager to get to work.

NAAs 21 month program is 9 terms of 10 weeks each. Students will enroll and complete the 9 courses required for the Associate in Science degree by SPC in concert with the 9 terms at NAA. The SPC courses will be offered in a 8 week blended format, which includes online and in-class training at NAAs Ulmerton Road Campus. This unique partnership is a great platform for aviation and education in Pinellas County. We are very excited to bring additional opportunities to the future of aviation. This program will be a springboard to supplying the Aviation Maintenance Global Marketplace with even better educated technicians, said Michael Wisniewski, NAAs president.

The graduates of this A.S. Degree in Aviation Maintenance Management Technology would also be eligible to transfer into the Bachelor of Applied Science Degree (BAS) in Technology Management.

National Aviation Academy is the world leader in this specific training, and NAA is the only aircraft maintenance training school among all Tampa Bay aviation schools. NAA is also the leader among Florida aviation schools as well as throughout the nation. We are known world-wide for our Aviation Maintenance Technician Training and have trained students from Africa, France, England, South America, Canada, and the Caribbean to name a few.

Remember, a career as an Aviation Mechanic is in high demand and can take you on many paths in your life. If the highest level of Aviation Maintenance training in the shortest amount of time anywhere interests you, then you have found your aviation school here at National Aviation Academy.
