The oil crisis in the Gulf of Mexico has everyone deeply concerned. It is the largest disaster of this type our country has ever seen and it is threatening the very existence of Southern tourism and the Fishing Industry. The Double Eagle Fishing Fleet is monitoring this situation daily in order to relay up to date information to our concerned and loyal customers.
The perception the media has been portraying is that all of the Gulf region is an oily mess. This is far from the truth. As of now, the oil is not affecting our beaches or our fishing! The Gulf waters off Clearwater are clean and the fishing this spring has been GREAT! The West Coast of Florida is BUSINESS AS USUAL!!
We know that even just a threat of oily beaches will cause some families to reevaluate their vacation plans. We hope this disaster will not deter those people from traveling to our great state or keep locals from pursuing their passion for fishing on the Gulf of Mexico. But, if it does cause you to change or postpone plans, we are asking for your help. Please take a minute to email us at doubleeagledsf@aol.com to let us know of your decision. We are keeping records of how this spill is affecting our business in the event we must take action against the responsible parties to ensure the future of Double Eagle Fishing Fleet. We want to be able to provide the unique Gulf of Mexico fishing experience for years to come.
