Dr. Stephanie Van Zandt receives 2010 Excellence in Medicine Award!
The Wilks Outstanding Winners (WOW) Nursing Excellence and Excellence in Medicine Awards were established in 2004 after Morton Plant Mease Foundation received an anonymous $1 million donation to honor team members, nurses, and physicians with awards in recognition of extraordinary service and exceptional dedication to their patients and the hospital and community. This gift was given as a tribute to a donor's physician, Dr. Harry Wilks and the program was named Wilks Outstanding Winners, better know as the "WOW" awards.
Dr. Van Zandt was one of the 2 physicians at Morton Plant Hospital (MPH) to receive the award. She has worked tirelessly over the past several years with MPH to help plan, design, and solicit financial donations for the new womens med/surg floor, and upcoming renovations to the labor and delivery floor.
