G-Star School of the Arts Named the #1 High School for Film in the World!
The G-Star School of the Arts for Motion Pictures and Broadcasting has been named the Number One High School for Film in the World by the Raindance Film Festival in London, UK. The Award took place at the Apollo Theater in Piccadilly Circus in Londons prestigious West End theater district. The Raindance Film Festival is the largest independent film festival in Europe; it also owns the British Independent Film Awards and Raindance TV. While handing the Award to Greg Hauptner, the schools Founder, at the Awards Ceremony, Raindance Founder Elliot Grove stated, We are truly excited to give this honor as the Number One High School for Film in the World to the G-Star School of the Arts. Your representation here this year at Raindance with the highest quality film shorts and your schools feature-length film is the testament proving that your school is indeed worthy of this honor.
This is the first high school ever so designated by one of the leading film festivals in the world. Beau Rogers, Executive Producer of the Academy Award winning film Gods and Monsters, plus 41other feature films, made the nomination to the Raindance Film Festival on behalf of the G-Star School of the Arts. Ive known Gregs school has been worthy of this award for years. I am proud to introduce the world to G-Star, says Rogers.

With nine shorts, one music video, one short feature and one full-length feature film appearing in the Raindaince Film Festival, hundreds of our students can now say their work premiered at one of the largest and most famous film festivals in the world with accolades.
Christmas Craft Fair coming to G-Star
The G-Star Studios, the largest motion picture studio in Florida, and the G-Star School of the Arts in Palm Springs proudly announce the opening of their new state-of-the-art motion picture sound stage in June. The sound stage is not only the largest in the State of Florida, it is the most technologically advanced sound stage in the world. The sound stage (click picture to visit the studio site)is equal in size to the sound stages in Los Angeles where Jurassic Park III, The Incredible Hulk movies and Bruce Almighty were made; and where Desperate Housewives and Two and a Half Men are produced today. With 35' to the grid, it has major league height to "fly" in. It has a dynamic smoke evacuation system that will remove smoke from forest fire scenes inless than two minutes; and it has quick-release drains for rain & hurricanes scenes. Themassive A/C units handling the 500,000 plus cubic feet of performance stage are custom made to shut on and off fifty times per day the moment the Director shouts "action" and "cut". Thelighting, sound, A/C's, plus super power in the grid and on the floor and a host of other electrical functions are all controlled by a specialized computer system. It also has 22' elephant doors for load-in for huge sets constructed in the Studio B scenic design shop next door and additional 12' load-in doors to allow easy maneuverability for set assembly.
