HIGHER GROUND is a good name for our facility as we are located on an elevated three acres near the northern tip of Smith Lake close to Ocala, Florida. From the attractive stone wall entrance and driveway, abundance of mature oak trees, beautiful well-stocked fish pond and patio area, flower gardens and 500 gallon hot-tub, to the two immaculate red brick country homes on our property it is easy to see why this is the ideal place for one who is especially loved by their family.

Higher Ground is an Assisted Living Facility, located in the restful and picturesque countryside of Candler, FL. Our spacious, modern facility offers the highest quality care in a warm homelike setting enhancing each individual's spiritual, emotional and social well-being.

Residents enjoy living and dining in an atmosphere that is homelike, meticulously clean and extremely comfortable. Each resident is encouraged to personalize their private or semi-private rooms with family treasures and familiar furniture, as space permits, to make it as homelike as possible.

Daily activities are carefully selected and planned with spiritual, intellectual, emotional and physical well-being and happiness of our residents in mind. Frequent special events and travel opportunities are eagerly anticipated by the residents and add to their feeling of dignity and self-worth.
