Welcome to The Birth Center of Gainesville!
The birth center is a full-service facility providing personable midwifery and womens health care. We strive to create a supportive, educational experience in a relaxed, friendly, and professional environment.
The Birth Center of Gainesville is the oldest birth center in the southeastern United States. The Birth Center has delivered more that 2200 beautiful babies since 1979. BCOG was founded under the name Birth Place by a group of women involved in womens health and the emerging womens movement.
The Birth Center of Gainesville resides in a historic Victorian Home that is beautifully nestled amongst giant oak trees. The building has recently undergone lavish renovations to add beauty and comfort for our clients. Renovations included: complete redesign of all rooms and birth suites, new accommodations for waterbirth, IPod docking for personalized music, flat screen tvs and gaming stations for the waiting family and friends. Coming soon, will be the ability to PodCast video to friends and family who are unable to attend your birth.
