Snook Season Opens September 17, 2010 for Atlantic Coast

The FWC voted to open the snook season on the Atlantic Coast on September 17. The season will close again on its traditional date of December 15. However, instead of the traditional opening on February 1, the season will remain closed through August 2011 and will open on September 1 along with the Gulf Coast. New Saltwater License Regulations starting July 1, 10.
This is just a little FYI note for all you shore bound fisherman who have not had to purchase a fishing license in the past. Starting July 1 the state of Florida is regulating all saltwater fishing by requiring residents to hold a saltwater fishing endorsement. The license for Florida residents to catch saltwater fish from shore or a structure affixed to shore cost $9 last year, but beginning July 1, it's free. Inlet Marina rents Boats at Sebastian Inlet
Inlet Marina is now open for Kayak, Skiff, Pontoon rentals. Rent a slip overnight or for the week. Avoid long lines at the public ramps and lauch at the Marina's ramp.
