Hurricane season has been kind to us this year. There have been no real threats and only a few that even came close to us so far. October and November are great months for fall Bonefishing! The Permit are also out and about on the flats. To complete your grand slam, there are also resident Tarpon available.

Every so often there is a new product introduced to me to enhance my appreciation of the angling that takes place here in the fabulous Florida Keys. An artist by the name of Jerry Kirby showed me his Western Metal Art and I now have a piece proudly hanging on the door to my fly tying office!

Summer has been really good for early morning Tarpon, fair for Bonefish and Permit and excellent for catching up with family and friends! As we head toward October and the fall season, we are anxious to tackle more Bonefish and Permit along with the resident Tarpon here in the Keys waters.

Tarpon Season, 2010 will go down as one of the best for the worm hatch, IF YOU WERE IN THE RIGHT PLACE AT THE RIGHT TIME! Early season was good, middle season was better, late season was also good, if you could get them to eat!

Reacting quickly with your cast is essential, as it takes only a few seconds to spook the fish or to lose your shot. So, try to limit yourself to one false cast at the most..."
