November14: Rev. Devlin Growing Our Future
Many of you have already seen the cover of our Stewardship Brochure for this year: A beautiful tree, painted by Barbara Hines, where the branches are adorned with words of meaning and inspiration for our UU values and especially our Fellowship. This is the time of year when we pause and take stock of what we have in life, and what meaning our faith and Fellowship holds for us. Where else can we be free in our worship, our values, our social actions, in our free and responsible search for truth and meaning? We are so fortunate to have MUUF here in Manatee County, for it is a historical treasure of spiritual and moral tradition which only we can protect and prosper through love and stewardship.
November 21: Rev. Devlin & Chris MacCormack- UU Faith in Action: 70 Years of the UUSC Guest at Your Table
The Unitarian Universalist Service Committee {UUSC} began saving peoples lives 70 years ago during World War II, in helping Jews and others oppressed escape from Nazi Germany. Our Flaming Chalice the symbol of our modern faith tradition was inspired by the UUSCs symbol of hope and help for others. Today we celebrate these 70 incredible years of our faith in action, and kick-off our Annual Guest At Your Table Program. Come take part in our service and make a place at your table for the millions of our neighbors who need our helping hand.
