Expressions of Joy Dance Academy is now a ministry of The Greenhouse Institute along with Sondance Ballet Theatre, The Greenhouse Dance Theatre and other projects currently in development.
The Greenhouse Institute, Inc vision is to promote excellence and integrity in the arts from a Biblical worldview through education, exhibition and performance. In Hinds' Feet On High Places
by Hannah Hurnnard has given us a marvelous vessel through which God has spoken in significant ways to hundreds of thousands world-wide. In her allegory, she chronicles the journey of Much-Afraid, a rather insignificant member of the Fearing clan who suffers from crippled feet and a twisted mouth. We will present you Much-Afraid's pilgrimage from her home in the Valley of Humiliation to the High Places in the Kingdom of Love.
Follow Much-Afraid on her spiritual journey through difficult places with her two companions, Sorrow and Suffering. Learn how Much-Afraid overcomes her tormenting fears as she passes through many dangers and mounts at last to the High Places. There she gains a new name and returns to her valley for service, transformed by her union with the loving Shepherd.
The lessons of accepting and triumphing over evil, of becoming acquainted with grief, and pain, and, ultimately, of finding them transformed into something incomparably precious; of learning through constant joyful surrender to know the Lord of Love Himself in a new way and to experience unbroken union with Him. The High Places and the Hinds Feet do not refer to heavenly places after death, but are meant to be the glorious experience of Gods children here and now if they will follow the path he chooses for them. How trusting in Christ and experiencing true love cast out all fears and being transformed into a new creation. When we surrender to our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, we truly become healed, joyful and we feel how much we are loved. Now we can truly love others and are free to leave in the kingdom of Love on the high places reaching out to others.
