NEWS Team WellFound Sail a New Hunter 38:
We left Key Largo at Noon on Sunday the 3rd of June. The seas had finally calmed after two weeks of north winds that threatened our departure.
We motor sailed up the Halks Channel until about 1700 when we reached Fowey Light. As we motor sailed into the Gulf Stream. The wind freshened but was dead astern. Wing on wing was the order of the watch and with the Gulf Stream as calm as it seldom is we were able to keep both sails filled with only the aid of a mainsail preventer and no whisker pool.
