One of the most gratifying experiences during my practice of law has been restoring and beautifying my law office, located in the historic Alphonse Pichard House. This late, Queen Anne Victorian home was built in 1912 as the homestead of builder and developer, Alphonse Pichard. He and his brother were true founding fathers in the early history of Tallahassee, Florida. Their father, Hipolyte Pichard, came to this country from France and his two talented sons joined efforts to build many homes and public buildings in Tallahassee starting in the early 1900's.
