Buckingham Wheeler Agency is Vero Beach's oldest insurance agency. The business was founded by Walter S. Buckingham and John Wheeler through a "gentlemen's agreement" and a handshake. Through the years, the name was kept despite changes in ownership, due to the respect and recognition of the company name. For the same reason, we have been in the same downtown Vero Beach, Florida location for 80 years. Buckingham Wheeler Agency is owned by Jim Thompson, who began his career here in 1956.
