LCOS is a welcoming community of believers. We have been a presence in Town N Country (Northwest Tampa) since 1963! We are people trying to figure out how to live faithfully before God and serve others according to His will. That is not as easy as it may sound. So, we dont check our brains at the door of faith, but honor Gods Word in the Bible by questioning and struggling with it to learn what It is telling us in this time and place.
We worship in traditional ways, @ 9:00 AM Sundays, with dynamic, inspiring, and an entertaining music program. We also try contemporary, emergent ways of praising God Sundays @ 11 AM at our Faith Pointe Caf We mix the atmosphere of the ancient family house church with a 21st century praise band and videos. Traditional or contemporary, our Pastors messages are Bible centered, hopeful, and relevant to your life. Life can be joyous and it can be difficult; worship is where Gods Word of love, acceptance and unconditional grace intersect with our lives! At LCOS, we reflect Gods Word in a climate of unconditional love and grace.
We serve Gods people, whether through teaching faith centered value lessons to children in our pre-school and kindergarten, or in our Sunday school; or at our Thursday Nights Together Adult Bible Study, or by providing care, food and clothing through our Kaye Prox Food Bank! Our food bank is a community wide ministry supported by residents, churches, and businesses in Town N Country! We are Gods People serving Gods People! We join our voice with others in the Hillsborough Organization for Progress and Equality (H.O.P.E.), an inter-faith voice of more than 26 faith communities; speaking for the voiceless on the local justice issues.
LCOS is about touching human lives and building relationships. Through His Word, and our hands and voices, LCOS ministries reach more than 1600 people every week! Together we are Living a Bold Statement for Mission!
You are welcome at LCOS. Here is a place where you will belong!
Thanks for visiting our website. Now, come visit and worship with us person.
