What Are We Supposed to be Doing? (Sermon by Rebekah Maul)
We are so glad that you chose to visit... virtually! We know that, as the pastors, we are supposed to say things like that, but we also feel that First Presbyterian is a family that strengthens our families at home, as together we seek to live as Christians in this challenging world of ours.
We would love you to come and spend time with us so that you can sense the true presence of God among us in worship. Our prayer is that you will return in order to know us better, as you seek to know God better. We hope that the information throughout this site will be of help to you in grasping a more complete understanding of our community of faith, and that the warmth we extend is our effort to share the love of Christ with you.
In His Grace,
You are invited to attend our Annual Christmas Dinner on Sunday, December 5th, at 5:30pm. Member Care will provide the ham, turkey, rolls, and cranberry sauce. Please bring 1 to 2 side dishes or one side and a dessert, depending on the size of you group. If you have any questions please contact a Member Care elder: Michelle Gates, Christine Karow, Peggy Nugent, or Margaret Barlow. A nursery will be provided for children 2 years and under during the service following dinner.
has a distribution center (tent) set up at the First Baptist Church of Brandon through December 25th. Local churches are volunteering and have undertaken the responsibility for the donation activities. If you wouldlike to volunteer 1 day per week from 7-10am or from 4-7pm contact Sherry Skovgaard at 654-2381 or by email miminow2@verizon.net.+
There are still chances to donate to third world families. On December 15th, between 5-9, at the Beef O Brady's located at 2561 E. State Rd 60 at the corner of Route 60 and Miller Rd, simply mention to your server that you are there for "FPCB - Heifer International Spirit Night" and Beef's will donate 15% of your food bil to FPCB to our Heifer donation.
