Welding CDA's Maritime Welding Program prepares graduates for the exciting and fast-paced career of welding

CDA's Maritime Welding Program prepares graduates for the exciting and fast-paced career of welding, both offshore in the Gulf of Mexico and in shipyards, building everything from oil tankers to Naval destroyers.

We developed the curriculum for this welding program by working closely with the leading companies in these industries. This welding program was designed to fulfill the ongoing demands for entry-level welders. Unlike traditional welding schools that teach students how to weld in a booth, CDA simulates the environment of a real maritime welder with ship fitting, crane operations, rigging and offshore survival. All training is conducted on our 160-foot barge located on the Trout River.

Our Maritime Welding Program requires a full-time commitment and all CDA programs are highly selective, competitive, rigorous, and NOT for everyone.

By choosing CDA's Maritime Welding Program, you are committing yourself to the most rigorous and comprehensive training program available. Our program goes above and beyond the standard welding training with additional training in ship fitting, thermal cutting, confined spaces, hazardous materials handling, first aid, rigging, weld inspection and offshore safety and survival to simulate the rigors of a real welding career. These skills are in high demand by leading companies in the welding industry and enhance your marketability as a welder.

Unlike most traditional welding schools that mass-produce students trained only in booths using brand new metal, CDA's Maritime Welding Program trains our students in a real-world marine environment. Our welding students have practical experience of maintaining and repairing functional maritime equipment and are challenged by various conditions of metals, all welding positions, and environmental hazards.

If you're up to the challenges that a welding career can offer, then train with the only welding school that is taught in and on the water!
